An Internet device for communicating and sharing resources can
easily be used to set up an eLearning service.
There are two types of service. One involving direct communication
between student and teacher; and one involving the publication
of a lesson for a number of people at the same time.
Both student and teacher need simple tools that do not require
the configuration of dedicated software.
The teacher installs the dedicated client and waits for the connections
to his/her own pupils.
Students connect up to a signed applet that requires permission
to use the personal computer resources.
The same applet performs the downloading, installation and configuration
of the software being shared.
The teachers desktop appears on the students screen.
There is also the possibility of vocal connection, as well as
sharing to make it easier to communicate with students.
There may also be a recording and play-back module to save the
contents of a lesson ready for publishing.
