Service name: Web Chat – Client: Freedomland

The Freedomland Web Chat project provides a conversation environment in the site’s Internet community.

This is an entirely HTML chat line incorporating a service which, in addition to providing basic services like the possibility of sending private messages, the chance to create personal conversation rooms, and the opportunity to insert or visualise user profiles, also provides such key features as profile searching, room control, off-line statistics, load balancing of the rooms, and the “Event” facility.

A maintenance service has also been provided, visible to Freedomland service managers, allowing rooms to be created or eliminated and On-Line user statistics visualised. Freedomland’s Web chat line is based on an Apache server and was created out of the PHP scripting facility.
