Service name: C6 Messenger - Customer: Telecom Italia

This was Icona’s first Instant Messaging service developed back in 1998.

Designed for Telecom Italia, C6 now at release 7.1 lets users signed-up to the virgilio.it portal communicate directly by either a text or video chat.

Friends can be found on-line with a simple search form indicating sex, age and location. Chat rooms are also availble for group chats. In 2007 we released the new Audio/Video features based on Speex/Theora codecs for full screen audio/video chat. C6 Messenger is also equipped with p2 file-sharing and file-search.

C6 Messenger counts hundreds of thousands of unique users every month and can interoperate via XMPP with other jabber servers (c6.virgilio.it domain).
